Women employees in hotels play a major role in rendering services which possibly may be done only by them. These includes specialized services in housekeeping, front office, guest service, sales and marketing department etc. It has been observed that very few women employees are take up jobs in departments as kitchen and F&B as compared to the departments mentioned above as GRE , Front Office etc.
None of the hotels can have the workforce comprising of only of male employees and female employees have to be an integral part of this workforce.
But a trend has been observed of the career shift of female employees from the service sector. The paper therefore focuses on this aspect of career shift of women employees and thereon finding the reasons for these employees to leave the industry thereon. Apart from this, the paper also tries to identify various other factors associated with the career shift as the tenure spend by the women employees in hotels. The growth pattern of the women employees, and the reasons highlighting their shift from the hotel Industry.
The Primary data was collected through a questionnaire focusing on the population of women employees in hotel who have shifted from the hotel industry either to retail, academics or are homemakers.
The secondary data however was collected from books, research articles and journals. The paper tries to identify the reason/s for women to shift from hotel to other fields.

Gender equality is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making; and the state of valuing different behaviors, aspirations and needs equally, regardless of gender.
The research paper aims at analyzing if gender equality is given due consideration while framing HR policies of five star hotels and also the work culture of the hotels where gender equality if followed.
The Primary data has been collected through a structured questionnaire from HR mangers of 15 Five star hotels and 25 female employees.

The growth of hospitality sector has resulted in ample scope for the aspiring hospitality professionals to take up careers in this booming sector. They say if you have zeal, passion, good communication and ready to move on, hospitality is the career for you.
The hospitality graduates ideally look for Kitchen, F&B Service and Accommodations in hotels as their career options on completion of their three or four year course. But the times have changed and the hospitality too has evolved over the period. The graduates now can look at the career options other than core departments of hotels.
The paper aims at studying the inclination of Hotel management students of opting for career options other than core departments based on their interest and awareness about the same. The study was conducted in Pune city amongst 30 final year students of Hospitality courses with the objectives of understanding awareness and inclination of students to pursue careers in niche hospitality sector.
The key findings of the study were that most of the students were aware and preferred being entrepreneur whereas stress free career and monitory benefits are the pull factor for choosing career options amongst those mentioned.

The Social and cultural changes and changing life styles have resultant in the habit of eating outside. The consumers do not have time to cook at home, the changes in consumption habits of the society, cultural interactions, fast living, and the contribution of women to work life are influencing and changing the nutrition style in crowded cities. In today’s world, people prefer to buy food sold on the streets to meet their nutrition needs outside home. Usually the consumer of street food, avails this owing to convenience and accessibility, but through promotion using numerous modes it can be MADE POPULAR. Social Media plays a critical role here. Once you post the comment, it can reach thousands of followers at one time. The Research paper aims to understand and study the popularity of the street food and what role is played by social media in promoting it or making it accessible to the consumers. Close to 120 respondents have contributed to the study, they are located in urban location of Pune City.Keywords
